XHTML page template
XHTML pages are similar to HTML pages except it must use the XML standard form the page content. XML is stricter than HTML, for sample you must close any tags even if the tag has no content.
The document encoding is specified in the XML header between <? and ?>. By default the encoding is UTF-8.
The attribute xmlns is for namespace, it means by default all tags are inside the XML namespace specified inside the attribute value
